17 December 2020 | For the eleventh time, GFPM announces a prize for the best German-language essay in the field of popular music research and cordially invites scholars who are still in the qualification phase to participate.
Thematically and methodologically, there are no limits as long as the essays deal with popular music in the broader sense (i.e. also jazz, pop, musical, etc.). The jury of the award, consisting of the Scientific Advisory Board of the GFPM, evaluates above all the innovative, original subject matter, the flawless methodology and the successful linguistic form of the texts.
