July 4, 2025 | We are delighted to invite you to the 35th Annual Con\u00adfe\u00adrence of the GFPM, \u201cMore Than Words: Cur\u00adrent Dis\u00adcourses in Popular Music Rese\u00adarch,\u201d which will take place from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the con\u00adfe\u00adrence center of the Evan\u00adge\u00adli\u00adsche Aka\u00addemie Loccum<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preli\u00admi\u00adnary con\u00adfe\u00adrence pro\u00adgram can be found here<\/a>. The con\u00adfe\u00adrence will fea\u00adture pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions as well as num\u00ade\u00adrous par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtory for\u00admats such as work\u00adshops and open spaces. As a new team, the new board will con\u00adtinue the ideas of the pre\u00advious board and faci\u00adli\u00adtate exch\u00adange, dis\u00adcus\u00adsion, and spe\u00adcific sup\u00adport and advi\u00adsory for\u00admats. These include, among other things, the option to book time slots for indi\u00advi\u00addual men\u00adto\u00adring ses\u00adsions. Regis\u00adtered par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpants will receive fur\u00adther infor\u00adma\u00adtion in a sepa\u00adrate email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this con\u00adtext, we would like to point out that the GFPM<\/strong> is still awar\u00adding up to four full scho\u00adlar\u00adships<\/strong> worth \u20ac214 to early-career rese\u00adar\u00adchers; appli\u00adca\u00adtions are open until July 15; active par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion (e.g., pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion) is not a pre\u00adre\u00adqui\u00adsite for appli\u00adca\u00adtion. All con\u00adfe\u00adrence par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpants will be accom\u00admo\u00addated in the academy\u2019s guest house (single room + bath\u00adroom). The cost for two nights inclu\u00adding full board is \u20ac214 per person and must be paid this year in the form of con\u00adfe\u00adrence fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that the par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion fees must be received in the association\u2019s account by July 31 at the latest; You will receive a con\u00adfir\u00adma\u00adtion of pay\u00adment as soon as the money has been received. Late regis\u00adtra\u00adtion is unfort\u00adu\u00adna\u00adtely not pos\u00adsible.
